Charlotte Fire Responds to Structure Fire

At 5:11 am on 7/24/22, we were dispatched to a house on fire with fire burning on the roof, near Lawrence Ave. and Oliver St. The first unit arrived at 05:13 and reported heavy smoke and confirmed an attic fire. As firefighters attacked the visible fire from the outside, others forced entry into the home and conducted a search for people, but no one was found. Later we discovered all occupants of ... Charlotte Fire responds to Commercial Structure Fire

At 02:17 this morning, we were dispatched to Caledonia Farmers Elevator- Charlotte location, for a report of fire in the basement of a grain processing area. The first units arrived at 02:22 and found the fire was contained to a large electric motor and grain dust in the basment of the original 1960's plant. For the month of June, we responded to 128 calls: 3 structure fires 3 brush fires 5 vehicle fires 13 personal injuries crashes Only 32% of the calls were medical-related calls. Spent over 45 hours on calls, this doesn't include getting trucks and equipment back into service or training and meetings.... (Full Story & Photos)

Charlotte Fire Department Awarded 1 Million from State of Michigan

We would like to announce that we have been awarded 1 million dollars to replace severely aging trucks and equipment. This will help us replace rescue tools from the 70’s and a 25 year old truck. On May 15, 2022, Charlotte Fire Department responded to a deck on fire at 5730 S Stine. While en route we were advised that the house was now on fire. We requested Olivet Fire Dept. to respond with a tanker. We arrived and found a double-wide with fire coming from the front and through the roof. Charlotte Fire Responds to Commercia Structure Fire

Wednesday, May 10th around 4:45pm we were dispatched to a Commercial Structure Fire at 1495 Lansing Rd. with flames visible. While en route it was confirmed that flames were visible in the front of the building. We requested manpower from Benton Township Fire and EMS Dept. and Windsor Township Emergency Services.
